If the goal of this blog was to find Julianne… You’ve found her! Time to pack your bags and head back to whatever corner of the internet you came from. Go watch a cat video or something. You’ve found Julianne, and this blog is officially closed before it even began.
But… Who did you find? Is she brave? Creative? Generous? Silly? Afraid?
Is she happy?
For so much of your life, you’re told who you’re supposed to be; a train racing down a perfectly laid-out track. There’s grade school, then high school. Then you pick a university and a major, and you’re given another four years of pre-planned bliss. And then…
Then what?
You could head to grad school. You could go get a job. You could start a family. Or… You could start a blog. I’m choosing the latter.
Last year, I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Music. But once I got that fancy piece of paper and a firm handshake, I was at a loss. Nothing could really prepare me for the reality of an unstructured life. Since then I’ve been working as a music educator and dipping my toes into some freelancing. But overall, after spending my young life on fast-forward, I just feel paused. I want adventure in the great wide somewhere, dammit! I want to know my purpose in life! I want to feel confident in myself and in my choices! But instead… Pause. And I’m ready to press play again.
I’m not sure where this road (and this blog!) will take me. On here, you’ll probably see a bit of everything. I’ll post serious, silly, and seriously silly ramblings about life. You’ll also get to hear about my favourites in style, beauty and skincare. Oh, and my cat. There will probably be lots about my cat.
This is your official invitation to join me on this path, wherever it may lead. I can’t wait to see what this journey has in store for us!
