Number one on my list of inspiring blog posts comes from Charlee at Zen Almanac. Who doesn’t want to love their life? The problem is, it’s easier said than done. 3. Finding Light in the Darkness from A Purpose in Pain
In this post, Sam discusses one of my favourite words of all time – chiaroscuro. It’s an Italian term used in music and art that means light and dark. Just like a painting has light and dark elements, so does life. It’s not just our highlight reel, but also our pain and suffering that makes us who we are. I finished reading this with a whole new perspective on life’s darkness.
4. 5 Things I Wish I Knew During My First Anxiety Attack from Be Well
Anyone who’s ever dealt with anxiety of panic attacks knows how devastating they can feel. If you could go back in time and give some advice to your younger self about your anxiety, what would you say? Cheyenne from Be Well does a brilliant job of summing up some advice and encouragement for anyone struggling with their mental health.
5. Self Intimacy: The Deep Connection We Cherish from Chelsea Bared
We spend so much of our lives focusing on intimacy with other people – cultivating relationships with our partners, friends and family. But what about your relationship with yourself? Chelsea really made me rethink the way I spend time with myself, and gives some amazing tips to build self intimacy in every area of your life. Her post inspired me to finally spend some quality time with the most important person in my life – me.
6. Positive Affirmations to Improve Your Mindset and Manifest What You Want in Life from Sierra’s Suitcase
Thoughts are just thoughts, but they have a huge power over us and your lives. Sierra’s post is an amazing reminder to be the gatekeeper of your own thoughts! It offers some wonderful affirmations you can use to counter your negative self talk.
7. Clutter Debt: What You Need to Know About Your Space Budget from This Modern Mess
This post is a little different from some others on this list, but it has given me a new perspective on clutter that I’ve been thinking about all month. Andrea’s post really inspired me to treat my life and space with value.
8. 6 Limiting Beliefs to Let Go of Right Now from Rosethorns and Honeydew
Limiting beliefs can completely control your life. The first step to gaining freedom from them is acknowledging what your limiting beliefs are and beginning to challenge them. Karen’s post lists 6 beliefs that can stifle your creativity and productivity, as well as some techniques to combat them!
9. What Mental Health is + 11 Things it is Not from Diffusing the Tension
The phrase “mental health” gets thrown around a lot today. But what is it really? Jen does a brilliant job of discussing what mental health really means, and how we can shift our discussions around it to be more accurate and important.
10. The Special Days We Found from Living Joy-Full
Finally, I wanted to share Amanda’s post about finding special moments even in trying times. It really resonated with me, especially during quarantine. So many people are missing out on so much right now, meaning that finding some joy amongst the chaos is especially important.
